On a soul searching trip to India in 2014, she discovered how to combine music and art into her yoga teaching. She has since studied sound healing in the U.S.A, India and Mexico. By using a number of instruments for sound healing, combined with her voice and vinyasa yoga, Ylonda's class is geared toward finding fluidity in the body and harmonizing strength and flexibility. Debi Darnell (Anatomy /Yin Yoga)
Debi Darnell has been teaching movement for ten years. She began as a group fitness instructor and then became a personal trainer in 2009. Lifting weights for years lead her to yoga as a means to stretch. She took her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2012 at Cleveland Yoga. She added the study of the Yin tradition with Joe Barnett.
Yin is special to Debi because "In Yin, we move minimally, which can appear easy. We hold poses for a long time, which can sound daunting. However, Yin is this beautiful blend of challenge and release, ease and effort." In Yin, she blends her love of anatomy and alignment with her understanding of people as unique individuals to teach intuitive movement. Learning to balance the traditional Yang practices of Vinyasa yoga, with Yin practices can help people physically feel and become stronger, as well as help them become mentally stronger.
