We met in 1994 in my first week of college. He a vocalist/tenor and me a cellist. I remember thinking, who is this really nice dude that carries a STAR WARS lunch box? YES, you read right... a Star Wars lunch box! He introduced himself to me, and told me he was a Junior and if I needed help finding anything to let him know. The next time I noticed him we were in rehearsal with the orchestra and choir. I noticed that the buckle on my shoe had broken. He motioned to get my attention. When we made eye contact he gave me the signal to throw my shoe over to him. I know- it was weird, but I was so intrigued I took off my shoe and tossed it to him. He removed a tool from his belt and fixed my buckle, then gently tossed it back to me.
WHO IS THIS STRANGE SWEET DUDE?
So...we became friends. We watched and supported each other through sadness and heartbreaks of young crushes. We had each other’s back!
Dan has always treated everyone with so much love and compassion. He is the friend that would help you move 100 couches up 10 flights of steps without ever complaining. Or pack/unpack your minivan FULL of sound healing instruments every week! 😂The friend that would share his only piece of food. It took time but in 1999 we finally became a couple. I would never trade a second! He is the love of my life, father of #thebrownbears and anyone that knows him LOVES HIM!
Dan- wishing you the happiest birthday. The world is so lucky to have you! So am I...STAR WARS lunch box and all! 😘 ❤️❤️❤️❤️#weirdlovestory #thegreenegang #loveofmylife #oppositesattract #starwarslunchbox #shoecobbler
